Galway City will be hosting the GamerFest 17 the 11th and 12th of November at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa.

Events usually take place in Dublin, and the West of Ireland has been starved of any noteworthy gaming events, this time Galway will represent all the West of Ireland.

According to Clodagh Egan, the Marketing Manager of the event, all types of gamers will be attending the event. “From hardcore die-hards, right across to board casual enthusiasts who are curios to see what all the fuss is about”

Family friendly activities will also be planned to please the younger visitors like a cosplay competition for example. Loads of Cosplayers are expected to come to the event.

“these guys bring such colour and excitement wherever they go, it’s going to be fantastic to have them with us” said Egan.

2000 visitors are expected and to please them, a huge selection of gaming activities will be set up. Including a GamerZone which will give the opportunity to the visitors to to sample the latest games, consoles, VR tech and equipment.

Visitors will also love the GamerFest Live Stage, where famous Youtubers will take part in some interesting gaming challenges.

“we can’t say much more right now, but we think our audience is going to love it” added Clodagh Egan.

The RetroZone will also be an interesting activity as it was brought by Naoise O’Hare of Retro Gaming Ireland fame. The visitors will be able to buy all these great games, equipments and merchandise in the merchandise area.

From the perspective of the companies taking part in the GamerFest, they will be able to build awareness of their products and services just before Christmas begins.

” We’re pretty fortunate that the event is taking place right in the buildup to Christmas, with loads of new games and equipment due for release” Said the Marketing Manager.

Call of Duty World War II and the new Xbox One X will be released around the event, therefore they will be showcased.

Over the coming weeks, information will be uploaded on every social media pages as well as some big announcements regarding the Youtuber special guests. Ticket giveaways and merchandise competitions will be on Facebook and Twitter.

BEM Ireland will be assisting the management of the event in the beautiful Blu Hotel & Spa.

A quantity of Gamer Fest Early Bird tickets have already been released for a price of €15.00. Tickets are available here or on Eventbrite. The tickets will then be available for €20.00, with VIP and family tickets also available.
