Describe the company – the elevator pitch …

invstr’s aim is that anyone with a smartphone and $20 to invest can start to manage their own investment portfolio.

We are a free mobile app ( IOS and Google Play) with a mission to make finance social by democratising access to financial information and empowering everyone to take charge of their financial future. We do that creating an environment where people can Play, Learn and Share. We believe that we are all natural investors. We are born with an ability of understanding Up, Down and the human emotions that drive financial markets.

We make investments of time, energy or money every day of our lives. And each time we cross the road we make a calculated risk-reward decision. We can unlock that natural ability in the same way that we learn to play a sport or a musical instrument:

Firstly, invstr helps us to get financially fit by making it easy:

1. To read the news and understand what is going on in the world
2. Follow how the markets react to real world events in real time and
3. Connect with other investors to understand what they are thinking.
invstr also helps us to practice our investment skills in a fun and safe way using our two games.
Finally, invstr, lets us invest for real using fractional share ownership, making investment accessible for everyone in the world with a smartphone.

How are you different?

invstr takes the concept of a social network to the next level. We are the only company in the world to provide a fully native integrated content, social and gamification experience on a mobile phone.
