What are you long term plans for your product / company?
As an general purpose blockchain platform, we plan to continue to grow our products and capabilities with the demands and the needs of the various industries seeking to implement blockchain solutions into their business practices. As we are an extension of Ethereum’s protocol, we also intend to develop our product in parallel with the industry best practices for both private and public blockchains.
What aspect blockchain technology is your team most excited about?
We are seeing new use cases for blockchain technology emerge constantly, so as we’ve seen financial use cases as the first and strongest examples of POC’s using blockchain and smart contracts, we’re seeing other verticals such as mining, insurance, shipping and logistics, governments and land registries emerge as innovators as well. The possibilities are seemingly only limited to people’s imaginations and willingness to use emerging technologies.
What upcoming innovations in the blockchain space do you most look forward to?
We believe 2017 has a lot in store for the blockchain space, including developments in the enterprise application of the technology as well as blockchain applications that will be built. We foresee more applications which were exciting proofs of concept in 2016 to go live in production in 2017, which will usher in a whole other level of adoption.
Anything else you’d like to add / we should have asked?
The use of blockchain applications has applicability across various verticals. The current challenge is that most businesses struggle with the complexity of other blockchain software development platforms. BlockApps STRATO blockchain software platform makes it easy for businesses to harness blockchain for new and existing applications and businesses processes. BlockApps STRATO is also available as a BaaS (Blockchain as a Service) on Microsoft Azure.
